1 Framingham Police will promote two lieutenants to deputy police chief this afternoon in a ceremony at Nevins Hall. Also promoted will be two individuals to lieutenant and two to sergeant.

  • Boys tennis hosts Natick High at 3:45 p.m. at Framingham High
  • Boys lacrosse host Holliston at Phil Read Field at 4 p.m.
  • Softball has an away game against the Red Hawks in Natick at 3:45 p.m.
  • Girls tennis has a match against Natick High away at 3:45 p.m.
  • Boys and girls outdoor track hosts Weymouth High at 3:45 p.m. at Bowditch Field. It is the final home meet.
  • Boys volleyball hosts Wellesley High at 4 p.m.
  • Baseball has a game against Natick High on the diamond at Bowditch Field at 6:30 p.m. under the lights.


3 Lucas Gustafson, a middle school student who started folding and creating origami at age 6, and is a long-time member of the Origami Club at MIT will lead a free workshop this afternoon at the main Framingham Library from 4:15 to 5 p.m.



4.  CITY of Framingham meetings:

  • Parks & Recreation Commission is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 at 475 Union Avenue.
  • Framingham City Council’s finance subcommittee is scheduled to meet tonight at 6 p.m. with fire and technology departments in the Ablondi room at the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham Planning Board is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.
  • Cable Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.


5.  According to Mayor’s public calendar on the City of Framingham’s website, she is expected to attend this afternoon police promotion ceremony.
