FRAMINGHAM – A new assistant principal has been named at Potter Road Elementary School.
Wilson Elementary vice principal Michelle da Costa will become the new assistant principal at Potter Road.
Earlier this school year, Principal Paula Del Prete announced she would retire.
In January, Superintendent Bob Tremblay promoted Assistant Principal Larry Wolpe to Principal for the 2018-19 school year, after a search.
Da Costa has been vice principal at Wilson Elementary since July 2013.
She has a Masters in Education from UMass Boston, and a degree from Smith College in Brazilian Studies.
She is bi-lingual speaking both English and Portuguese, and will help usher in the new two-way Portuguese program at Potter Road in the fall.
Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Human Resources Inna London said she is starting a search for a new principal and vice principal at Wilson Elementary School.
The district is currently conducting a search for a new principal and vice principal at King Elementary School.
