FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Public Schools is losing another elementary school principal.
Earlier this year new principals were hired at McCarthy and Stapleton elementary schools.
A vice principal was promoted at Potter Road Elementary and a search is on to find a principal at King Elementary School. Now Wilson Elementary School will begin a search for a new principal.
John Haidemenos, Principal at Wilson Elementary School, will be leaving at the end of the school year for personal reasons, said Framingham Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Inna London.
“We are sad but wish Mr, Haidemenos the best,” said London.
Haidemenos was hired in May of 2013 by former Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott.
Prior to joining Framingham Public Schools, he held various building level administrative positions for the past 15 years in the Pawtucket school district. Previously, he was a music teacher for 15 years in the Pawtucket Schools. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the Berklee College of Music. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Education Administration as well as coursework for Superintendent Certification from Providence College.
Haidemenos helped guide Woodrow Wilson Elementary Schoolto becoming an IB program.
Earlier this year, Paula Del Prete announced her retirement from Potter Road Elementary School. Vice Principal Larry Wolpe was hired as Principal and will start at the end of this school year.
McCarthy Elementary School announced a new principal earlier this year, as did Stapleton Elementary School.
And last month King Elementary School Principal announced she was leaving the district for a position in Dedam.
London said she is forming a principal screening committee. Parents and community members interested in serving should contact her office at the Framingham Public Schools.
