At McCarthy Elementary, we believe all our staff is special, yet there are some individuals who stand out. Meg Cabot is one of those individuals.
She has been a psychologist in the Framingham Public Schools since 1994, and has been an integral part of the McCarthy community since 2004. Meg is everything one would want in a school psychologist and more.
She has one of the highest testing caseloads in the district, yet always finds time to help out in any way she can. She works diligently to support the entire McCarthy community.
She often visits classrooms to assist teachers in determining how to best work with particular students.
The staff appreciates her expertise, insight and dedication to each and every student’s success. She has worked with teachers to help create calming areas within their classrooms, and has helped to design sensory kits for students.
Over the years she has presented workshops for staff on understanding trauma, supporting anxious children, and co-led a book group on The Behavior Code by Jessica Minahan.
This year, she has been leading after-school meditation for the staff.
Meg is also an incredible resource for parents and has presented to the PTO on several topics.
She is bilingual and is always willing to make a call to a Spanish speaking family or provide in person interpretation.
McCarthy is extremely fortunate to have her and we thank Meg for her continuous hard work and devotion to each student each and every day.
Meg Cabot – You Are Special.
