FRANKLIN – Framingham High sophomore Brad Bogovich captured second third in the javelin competition at the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association’s Auerbach Freshmen-Sophomore meet on Saturday in Franklin.
Arlington’s Nathan Brennan won the competition with a throw of 143 feet.
Bogovich had a person best throw of 131 feet and 7 inches to take second place.
Taunton sophomore Andrew LeBleanc finished third with a personal best throw of 129 feet, 6 inches.
Sophomore Zach Blumer competed in the 100 meter dash. His time was 12.56 seconds.
Sophomore Angel Martinez also competed in the 100 meter dash. His time was 12.73 seconds.
Neither qualified for the finals.
Martinez also competed in the 200 meter event. He registered a personal best time of 25.68 seconds, but did not qualify for the finals.
Sophomore Matt Hom competed in the 800 meter event. He registered a personal best time of 2:18.47 minutes, but did not qualify for the finals.
Flyers sophomore Alex Thurber competed in the mile race. He finished at 5:10.26 minutes. He did not make the finals. Franklin High sophomore Tyler Brogan won the mile event in 4:26.67 minutes.
Freshman Colin Jones competed in the 100 meter hurdles. His time was 20.70 seconds. He did not make the final round.
Freshman Ryan Malieswski competed in the 400 meter hurdles for Framingham. His time of 1:12.16 minutes did not qualify him for the finals.
Framingham had a team in the 4 by 100 relay. Runners were Blumer, Jones, Malieswski and Martinez. Their time was 50.96 seconds. Acton-Boxborough won the event in 45.23 seconds.
