FRANKLIN – Framingham High freshman Sophie Albright finished third in the high jump at the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association’s Auerbach freshmen-sophomore meet on Saturday in Franklin.
Albright’s leap of 5-feet, 1-inch gave her a share of third place in the competition.
Sophomore Stephanie Simon of Chelsea was first with a personal record of 5-feet, 5 inches.
Hingham sophomore Lila Belsher finished second at 5-feet, 3-inches.
Kaity Shaughnessy, a Newton South freshman, leaped 5-feet, 1-inch to tie Albright for third.
Albright also competed in the 100-meter dash but did not make the finals. Her best time yesterday was 14.35 seconds.
Freshman Shannon Walker competed in the 200-meter event. Her time was a personal record at 30.85, but did not qualify her for the finals.
Walker also competed in the high jump. Her best height was 4-feet 3-inches yesterday.
Sophomore Tess Robinson competed in the 800 meters. Her time was 2:42.00 minutes. She did not qualify for the finals.
Sophomore Samanatha Bauer competed in the 100-meter hurdles. Her time was 20,43 seconds. She did not qualify for the finals.
