Framingham Students Seeking To Open Your Minds Friday Night

FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High seniors Catherine Giorgetti and Symphony Shea have organized Opening Your Mind: A Staged Reading event for the public on Friday, May 11 at Framingham High.

The event features 10-minute staged readings produced by and featuring high school students.

The free event starts at 5 p.m. in room H100.

Giorgetti and Shea organized the event as part of an end-of-the-year project, for an independent study under Donna Wresinski.

Shea’s goal for the independent study was to make theatre accessible to all ages, abilities, disabilities, and walks of life.

The evening will be accompanied by open captions running constantly with the lines of the actors and actresses, so that anyone from the deaf or hard of hearing community may come and experience the storytelling of theater, said Shea.

Giorgetti’s goal was to learn how to produce various kinds of theatre.
