2018 Salute Student Honoree: Hadassah Viana

Editor’s Note: Annually at the Salute to Framingham, members of the senior class are honored. Framingham Source will profile the 25 student honorees between now and graduation in June.

Hadassah Viana
Framingham High Class of 2018

FRAMINGHAM – Hadassah is an extraordinary young woman! She is involved in her school community by promoting community service activities through International Club.

She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Mazie Mentoring Foundation, but what is most impressive about Hadassah’s academic achievements is that English is not her first language.

Hadassah came into Framingham High School taking core academic classes within our English as a Second Lanaguage (ESL) department as she was  building her English language abilities. She pushed herself to quickly learn English and by her junior year transferred out of the ESL program.

Junior year she not only did Hadassah transition out of ESL classes but she took on the challenge of two dual-enrollment courses at Framingham State University.
