Framingham’s Deeley To Be Recognized as Unsung Heroine

FRAMINGHAM – The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women has named Framingham’s Stephanie Deeley as one of the Commonwealth’s Unsung Heroines of 2018.

Senator Karen Spilka nominated Deeley, who is the President of the League of Women Voters. Framingham Chapter.

A Commissioner of the MetroWest Commission on the Status of Women, Deeley is also supporter of domestic violence survivors. Her sister was a fatal victim of domestic violence.

Annual Unsung Heroine honors go to incredible women who are selected for their contributions to their community and the Commonwealth.

Unsung Heroines are women who don’t always make the news, but truly make the difference in their communities, businesses, or volunteer endeavors.

They’re selected because they are women who without fanfare or recognition, uses your time, talent, spirit, and enthusiasm to enrich the lives of others.

The Commission will honor and celebrate the Unsung Heroines from across the Commonwealth at the 2018 Unsung Heroines Ceremony on Wednesday, June 20 at the Massachusetts State House
