5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Thursday, April 19, 2018

Massachusetts State Treasurer Deb Goldberg will hold a special story time at the Christa McAuliffe Library branch on Water Street at 11:30 a.m. today. All families are invited. No registration is required. the event is sponsored by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Office of Economic Empowerment.

The main Framingham Library is hosting a free screening of the animated movie Rio at 2 p.m.

 

2. FLYERS in action:

  • The weather has cancelled today’s Flyers softball game at home against Weston
  • Framingham High volleyball will host Greater New Bedford at noon at Framingham High.
  • Boys lacrosse has a scheduled away game against Weymouth High at 4 p.m.

 

 

3. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Framingham School Committee’s finance subcommittee is scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. at the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham assessors are scheduled to meet at 5:15 p.m.
  • Framingham Veterans Council is scheduled to meet at 5:15 p.m. in conference room 2 at the Memorial Building.

 

4. According to Mayor’s public calendar on the City of Framingham’s website she has no public events today, but she is scheduled to hold a press conference at 10 a.m. in regards to the brush collection an road construction planned for the city.

 

5. Framingham High School’s Class of 2018 is bringing a carnival to the city and it opens today.
