Ashland Business Association ‘Spring Gala’ to Feature Jen Maseda of the MetroWest Conference for Women

ASHLAND – The Ashland Business Association (ABA) is holding its first-ever Spring Gala on May 1. The speaker will be Jennifer Maseda, founder and president of the MetroWest Conference for Women, which kicked off its first event last year with more than 500 attendees.

The gala will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at the Ashland VFW, 311 Pleasant Street. The dinner will be from Marconi’s Italian Buffet and a cash bar.

Maseda will share her well-honed techniques for taking a crazy, big idea of bringing accessible, relevant, world-class inspiration and knowledge to women in MetroWest and making it a movement; share her insight into building supporters and how she creatively overcame barriers, such as financial support, political pressure and self-doubt to achieve the largest conference for women in the region; and discuss taking the leap into the global arena with an accessible, multi-platform company called She’s Local, which was recently launched in support of local women in their local communities.

The cost to attend is $10 per person, or free admission for an ABA member and his/her guest who qualifies as a potential member or for a non-ABA member who is interested in joining the association.

RSVP by April 25 by contacting membership coordinator, Denise Conti,, 508-259-5161.

Members who are interested in joining the ABA will learn how the association can help their business grow.

Needham Bank has donated raffle items, including tickets for the May 14 Red Sox-Oakland game.

More than 100 Ashland businesses currently make up the Ashland Business Association (ABA). ABA learning programs or networking socials are scheduled for the first Tuesdays of most months throughout the year. For more information, contact President Adam Sachs at or call 508-656-0503.
