Ashland’s Chute Completes Boston Marathon in Less Than 3 Hours; Times For All Ashland Runners

ASHLAND – Despite the cold temperature, heavy rain, and easterly winds, Katherine Chute, of Ashland finished the 122nd Boston Marathon in less than 3 hours.

She was the fastest runner from the Town of Ashland, according to the Boston Athletic Association, with a time of 2:57:44.

The Boston Athletic Association reported 95.5 percent of runners completed the 26.2 mile course from Hopkinton to Boston on Monday.

“This is a testament to their strength and their commitment to complete the greatest marathon in the world,” the Association said in a press release.

Of the 30,087 registered runners, the Association said 25,822 finished the race.
