BRAINTREE – Junior captain Grace Poku was a double winner in the Framingham High girls track season opener.
But the Flyers lost to the Wamps on the road in Braintree 95.33 to 40.66.
The Framingham High girls track team is now 0-1, under new head coach Ed Crowley.
Poku won the 100 and the 200 events. She crossed the finish line in 13 seconds flat in the 100 and finished the 200 in 26.9 seconds. Junior Leche Small-Brown finished third in the 200.
Junior Saisha Small-Brown won the 400 and sophomore Tess Robinson won the 800 for Framingham.
Junior captain Laura Walkup won the triple jump with a leap of 31 feet, 3 inches. Junior Macey McEnaney was third in 29-feet, 5 inches.
Walkup finished second in the long jump at 14 feet 6.5 inches.
McEnaney was second in the 400 hurdles at 91.7 seconds.
There was a three-way tie for second in the high jump between two Flyers and one Braintree high girl.
Freshmen Shannon Walker and Sophie Albright each made it over the bar at 4 feet 4 inches.
Junior captain Clara Small finished third in the mile.
