FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys lacrosse team hosted Braintree for its home opener today, April 10.
“We dug ourselves into a 6-0 hole at halftime and went on to lose 8-5,” said head coach Jamie Stefanini.
“We have a relatively young and experienced team. It really showed in our stick skills, shooting, and discipline,” said Stefanini. “We have a lot to improve on and I am confident that we will make the necessary adjustments to put ourselves in a position to succeed.”
Offensively, junior Lars Olsen led the Flyers with two goals.
RJ Vielle had a goal and 2 assists in the Flyers loss. Joey McHugh and Austin Villa each scored a goal for Framingham.
Defensively Clay Scata made 5 saves, and Darren Palma played outstanding defense, said Stefanini.
Next up for the Flyers is a road game in Norwood against the Mustangs on Thursday.
