Team Framingham Member: Yes

Is this your first marathon?  No If not how many? This is my 8th marathon

Is this your first Boston Marathon? This is my second Boston.

Why run Boston?  The history, the crowds and the chance to give back to great groups like the YMCA

Which charity are you raising money for? MetroWest YMCA Why? I would like to give back to a community organization that makes a difference in the life of children.  I have three boys and they are very active.  The Y is the perfect place to support children in our community.  Running Boston allows me to give back while demonstrating life skills to my boys- dedication, charity, commitment and accomplishment.

How did you first get into running? To stay in shape

Why do you like to run?  I like the challenge and the way I feel after a great run

What is your goal for the 2018 Boston Marathon? My goal is to complete the marathon in 4:30

Tell me something about your training for the marathon:  I never skip my long runs.  I also like to cross train (core, elliptical)

How do you stay motivated when you don’t want to run?  I tell my self to go and run for a mile or 15 minutes or possible to cross train with something fun. This gets me started.  Once I get started, it is easy to keep going.

What is your favorite pre-running meal?  Since I like pasta and breads, it is easy to carb load.

What shoes will you wear on Marathon day? For the last 5 marathons I have run in Saucony Guides.  I found them at Marathon Sports in Boston.

Will you wear anything personal or symbolic the day of the 2018 Boston Marathon?  I am running for a number of people so my shirt will have their names on it.
