Is this your first marathon? If not how many? Second marathon.  First one was the Disney World Marathon in 2004.

Is this your first Boston Marathon? If not when did you run your first BAA marathon? and how many is this in 2018?  This is my first Boston Marathon

Why run Boston?  Boston Marathon has such an amazing spirit to it.  The whole city and surrounding towns come together for this special day.  Running Boston has always been a dream of mine and I’m excited to have the opportunity to be part of it this year.

Which charity are you raising money for? Why? Framingham Adult ESL,

How did you first get into running? I started running about 15 years ago simply as a form of exercise.  Soon after that, I became interested in running a 5K race.  I loved the feeling of that accomplishment and it just grew from there.

Why do you like to run? I like to run because it gives me some personal time.  I also enjoy the overall feeling of exercise that I get from running.

What is your goal for the 2017 Boston Marathon? To finish with a smile!

Tell me something about your training for the marathon: Training for this marathon has been a memorable experience.  It is challenging to train in New England weather, but I have loved being part of Team Framingham.  The various types of team supports have been a great support throughout these past few months.

How do you stay motivated when you don’t want to run? I think about setting an example for my daughter.  I want to show her the importance of sticking with a goal even when your mind and body are telling you to quit.

What is your favorite pre-running meal? Scrambled eggs on English muffin, coffee.

What shoes will you wear on Marathon day? Adidas

Will you wear anything personal or symbolic the day of the 2018 Boston Marathon? Not sure about the clothing, that is weather dependent.  I will probably wear a chamsa charm – it is a middle eastern symbol for good luck.
