FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High School Foundation hosted the 26th Annual Salute to Framingham Thursday night at the Sheraton Framingham.
The sold-out event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Foundation, and annually recognizes community leaders, students, and staff for their efforts.
Close to 700 individuals packed the ballroom for an event, with MC David O’Leary, from Magic 106.7.
A moment of silence was held for Barry Bograd, who was the original master of ceremonies for the event, which began back in 1993. Bograd’s family were in attendance last night, as a guest of City Council Chair Dennis Giombetti.
Two men were added to the list of more than 60 who have been honored. They were Michael Bower and Ron Vallely.
More than two dozen Framingham Public School employees were honored with You Are Special awards. Framingham Source will publish profiles of each winners, like it did in 2016 and 2017, now through June 25.
Twenty-five members of the Class of 2018 were also honored last night. Source will publish profiles on each now and between graduation the first weekend in June.
