PHOTOS: O’Connor Defends Title; Wins His 30th Fight

BOSTON – Framingham boxer Danny O’Connor, who won the Junior Welterweight WBC Silver World Championship Belt in November at Mohegan Sun, defended his title on St. Patrick’s Day at the House of Blues in Boston last night.

O’Connor (30-3, with 11 KOs) defeated Canada’s Steve Clagget (26-5-1) in a 10-round fight.

The Framingham boxer, who will turn 33 later this month, earned a unanimous decision to defend his title.

A Framingham firefighter, this was O’Connor’s 30th win as a professional.

He also runs a nonprofit organization called Off the Canvas, that helps at-risk youths in the community.
