Framingham School Committee Approves 2018-19 Calendar; School Starts Before Labor Day

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham School Committee voted tonight, March 12, to approve the 2018-19 school year calendar.

The vote was 6-2-1.

The 9-member Framingham School Committee in approving the calendar, also voted to reduce the number of days off for the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah from two days to one day.

 

 

First Day of School: August 29, 2018

Religious holidays – no school:

  • September 10 (Rosh Hashanah)
  • September 19 (Yom Kippur)
  • April 19 (Good Friday)

Full-Day Professional Development Days:

  • Monday, August 27, 2018
  • Tuesday, November 6
  • Friday, February 15, 2019
  • Friday, April 12

Vacations:

  • December 24 – Tuesday, January 1
  • February 19 – 22
  • April 16 – 18, plus Patriots Day on April 15.
