Weather Alert: 6-12 Inches Forecasted for Framingham, MetroWest

TAUNTON – The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Monday evening into Tuesday evening at 8.

The weather service is forecasting heavy snow of 6 to 12 inches for MetroWest, including Framingham.

The alert was issued at 3:56 p.m. today, March 11.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible, including during the morning commute on Tuesday.

Damage to trees and power lines is possible as snow will be accompanied with strong to damaging winds.

Significant reductions in visibility are possible.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
