UPDATED: Framingham Wins Five Theatre Awards; Drama Company Performs in State’s Drama Festival Semifinals Saturday

HANOVER – The Framingham High School Drama Company will perform in the semifinals of the METG’s State Drama Festival Saturday, March 10 at Framingham High School.

The Flyers will perform at 4:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the performance.

The award-winning drama company advanced to the semifinals after its performance of She Kills Monsters at Hanover High on Saturday, March 3. Three high school’s from Hanover High advanced to the semifinal round.

At Hanover High, Framingham won five total awards, including three for excellence in acting.

Thespians who won acting awards were: junior Amanda Fawell, senior Cleopatra Mavhunga, and Nick Amico.

Framingham High students Alex Magee and Kayla Safford won an award for the drama company’s make-up and hair design.

Caitlyn Luria won an award as the “Stage Combat Fight Captain,” said director and producer Donna Wresinski.
