EDITOR’S PICKS: 5 Things To Do Today in Framingham on Saturday, March 3

  1. SEE A PLAY:  Framingham High School’s award-winning Drama Company is in the opening round of the METG Drama Festival today. They perform She Kills Monsters at 5:30 p.m. at Hanover High School.
  2. HEAR POETRY OUT LOUD:  Amazing Things Arts Center will host the semifinals of the Massachusetts Poetry Out-Loud competition today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. Come for an hour or stay the whole day.
  3. CLIMB A WALL: Central Rock Framingham is hosting a grand opening open house today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. There are demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 5 and noon to 5 p.m. Chiropractice Solutions will be performing free postural screenings from noon to 3 p.m. Jack’s Abby been sampling from 5 to 8 p.m. and a DJ from 5 to 9 p.m.
  4. WORLD THINKING DAY:  The Framingham Girl Scouts are hosting a World Thinking Day event today at BRACE on Route 135 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Stop by and learn about Girl Scouting.
  5. POSTPONEMENTS: Due to yesterday’s storm two events were postponed from today. The state’s dance competition scheduled for Framingham High today is now Monday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. The women’s economic empowerment series sponsored by the State Treasurer scheduled today is now on March 24.

 

BONUS: Today is New England Cheese Day at the Wayland Winter Farmers’ Market. The market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Russell’s Garden Center at 397 Boston Post Road. Nine cheesemakers are expected at the market today in addition to more than 3 dozen food vendors.
