TAUNTON – The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Middlesex County, which includes Framingham, from Friday morning through Saturday morning, March 3.
A large coastal storm will develop Thursday night and move just offshore of Southern New England Friday and Friday night.
This will bring periods of heavy rain to the region.
Rainfall of 1 to 3 inches, locally up to 4 inches possible, will produce significant rises on streams and rivers.
Areas of heavy rain may produce urban and small stream flooding, as well as flooding of poor drainage areas.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
