FRAMINGHAM – Superintendent of Schools Robert Tremblay announced today, Feb. 14, he appointed a new Principal for Stapleton Elementary School.
Anne Diaz, who has been the assistant principal in Athol, will begin on May 11.
“Ms. Diaz demonstrated warmth and enthusiasm, a genuine connection to the students, and an immediate rapport with the Stapleton staff,” said Tremblay.
“Anne’s approachability, instructional knowledge, and range of experience with children with varied academic and social/emotional needs has prepared her well to lead Stapleton. Her commitment to Framingham coupled with a leadership approach that places the social, emotional, and physical well-being of students as a non-negotiable goal are among the core values that we celebrate in the Framingham Public Schools.”
Anne Diaz is currently an Assistant Principal at the Athol Community Elementary School in Athol, where she has served in this role since 2015.
Prior to that, she worked as a teacher and library media specialist in the Quabbin Regional School District. A graduate of Becker College, she earned her Master in Education from Cambridge College.
