TRAFFIC ALERT: Mass Pike Closed; Multiple-Vehicle Crash Involving Trooper

UPDATE: By 12:45 p.m. the Mass Pike had re-opened – all lanes – eastbound.


FRAMINGHAM – The Massachusetts Turnpike is closed in Framingham, for a crash involving a State Trooper.

All lanes of the Mass Pike are closed eastbound near Exit 12, for a multiple-vehicle crash, just before 11:30 a.m.

Medical helicopter has been requested, and is expected to land on the Mass Pike westbound, which will close all lanes in that direction.

Scanner also has request for 5-6 ambulances.

Framingham Fire Department is on the scene.

State Police spokesperson said “Trooper reported to have injuries, not serious, however there are other injuries, including one with serious injuries at this scene.”

Trooper involved in the crash suffered neck and back injuries. He was alert and conscious, and transported to the hospital, according to a witness at the scene.
