5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, February 13

Today is Mardi Gras! Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday.


1  The Framingham School Committee is scheduled to meet today at 7 p.m. at King Elementary School.

This is a meeting rescheduled from last Wednesday, due to the storm.



  • McCarthy Elementary School will hold its monthly PTO meeting tonight. There is a meet & greet with new Principal Jennifer Wu. The PTO meeting will start at 7 p.m., followed by a Q&A with the new principal.
  • Framingham High School Council is scheduled to meet tonight at 7.



3. MUSTANGS in action:

  • Tonight is senior night for the Marian High girls basketball team. They host Innovation Charter at 5 p.m.
  • It is also senior night for the boys basketball team, who will play Innovation Charter at 6:30 p.m.


FLYERS in action:

  • Framingham High girls basketball team wraps up its season today on the road against Brookline. Tip-off at 6:30 p.m.
  • Framingham High boys basketball hosts the Warriors of Brookline High tonight at 6:30.


4.  CITY OF FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Framingham Council on Aging will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Callahan Center.
  • Framingham Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham Fair Housing Committee is scheduled to meet at 7 in the Memorial Building.


5. Framingham High School boys lacrosse team has a fundraiser at La Cantina tonight from 4 to 9. A portion of sales will go to the high school sports program. Click here for more details.
