5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, February 5

1 Framingham Mayor Yvonne Spicer will deliver the City’s first-ever State of the City address tonight at 6. The Government Channel will air the address from Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building live.



2. Framingham School Building Committee, Framingham School Committee, and Framingham City Council members are scheduled to tour Fuller Middle School, and the former Farley Middle School next door today at 4 p.m. The tour is expected to last about 90 minutes. There is a School Building Committee meeting scheduled tonight at 7 at King Elementary School.


3. FLYERS in action:

  • Framingham High girls ice hockey team travels to Auburn for a game today at 5:30 p.m.

MUSTANGS in action:

  • Marian High boys basketball team will host Matignon High tonight for a game.


4. The Framingham High School PTBO is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the school’s library. The meeting will feature a discussion from the high school’s four vice principals. The vice principals will discuss “academics, school culture, class placement, homework, extracurricular activities, discipline,” etc. All are welcome to attend.


5. The League of Women Voters chapter in Framingham will host the City’s chief assessor tonight to discuss tax abatements. Click here for more details.
