BOSTON – Missing two of their captains, and three of their top runners, the Framingham High girls indoor track team lost to Weymouth High at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston yesterday.
The Wildcats defeated the Flyers 80-19. The girls are still seeking their first team win of the season, under rookie head coach Ed Crowley, but have had some great individual results this season.
Yesterday, junior Grace Poku registered a personal best in the 55-meter dash. She had the fastest time of the night at the Center winning the race in 7.51 seconds.
Junior Saisha Small-Brown won the 300-meter race in 44.26 seconds.
Sophomore Iliana Munoz finished second in the shot put with a throw of 27 feet, 10.5 inches.
Freshman Shannon Walker finished second in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 4 inches.
Junior captain Clara Small finished third in the 100-meter race in 3:31.66 minutes.
Freshman Elle Vermilya finished third in the 600-meter race. Her time was 1:56.80 minutes.
Sophomore Paige Fisher was third for Framingham in the mile. Her time was 6;15.59 minutes.
Framingham freshmen and sophomore will compete Saturday in the Janiak meet.
