FRAMINGHAM – Ellen L. (Gallivan) Magri, 84, of Marlborough, formerly of Ashland and Framingham, passed away on January 8, 2017 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Framingham the daughter of the late Thomas J. & Catherine A. (Hilliard) Gallivan.
She grew up in Framingham where she graduated high school and South Middlesex Secretarial School. She was employed at Natick Box and Board for 45 years, retiring in April of 1996.
A clever and wonderful seamstress who made many of her own clothes, she and her late husband Angelo, whom she married at St. George Church in Saxonville on May 9, 1961, enjoyed travelling and cruised to many different ports.
Magri was a gentle spirit and will be dearly missed by her brother, Francis (Christine) Gallivan of Kingston, NY, and sister Catherine Spinney of Hinsdale, her many nieces and nephews whom she was very proud of, and many cousins and friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember her Life by celebrating her Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, January 20, in St. George’s Church, 74 School St. Saxonville in Framingham at 10 a.m.
Interment will be private.
