5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, January 16

Just a reminder due to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, City of Framingham trash collection is on a one-day delayed schedule this week. Monday’s trash will be collected today. Tuesday on Wednesday, etc.

 

1 The Christa McAuliffe Charter School will hold an informational session on admission today at 6:15 p.m. Parents will hear directly from seventh and eighth-grade scholars about their experiences at McAuliffe. Teachers will lead visiting students in activities that illustrate the learning they’ll do if they become a McAuliffe scholar.

 

 

2. The Framingham City Council is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building. Click here for the agenda.

4. FLYERS in action:

  • Boys swim & dive will host Needham High tonight at the Keefe Technical pool. The Flyers are undefeated and Needham is one of the top teams in the Conference.
  • Girls basketball at Walpole High at 6:30 p.m.
  • Boys basketball will host the Rebels of Walpole High 6:45 p.m.
  • Gymnastics team travels to Brookline for a meet against the Warriors at the Broderick Gymnastics Academy at 7:30 p.m.

 

MUSTANGS in action:

  • Marian High hockey team won yesterday at Warrior Arena
  • Marian High track team has a meet at the Reggis Lewis Center in Boston today at 4:30 p.m.
  • The girls basketball team has an away game against Immaculate Heart today.
