BROOKLINE – The Framingham High boys swim and dive team won another close meet today.
Earlierthis week, the Flyers defeated Wellesley by just six points, winning the meet in the final relay. Today, January 11, the Flyers defeated Brookline High by 4 points.
The Flyers are now 3-0 this season, and 2-0 in the Bay State Conference.
The Flyers defeated the Warriors of Brookline High 94-90.
Senior captain Cole Bassett was a double winner for Framingham. He won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.77 seconds. He won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.31 seconds.
Sophomore Chance Yan won the 100-yard backstroke event in 57.92 seconds.
Senior captain Sean Andrews won the diving competition with 226 ponts.
The Flyers finished second and third in a lot of the races, to rack up enough points for the victory.
Sophomore Leone Kisler finished a strong second in the 500-yard freestyle. His time was 5:27.85 minutes.
The Flyers 200-yard freestyle relay team took second in 1:38.80 minutes. On the relay was Tristan Wilcox, senior captain Aidan O’Leary, senior Eli Gazda, and Bassett.
The Flyers home opener is Friday, January 12 at Keefe Technical’s pool at 5 p.m.
