CHELMSFORD – The Framingham High co-ed wrestling team competed in the perennial 2018 Chelmsford Invitational tournament on Saturday, January 6, with 24 teams from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.
The Flyers finished in fourth place out of two dozen teams, with 156 points.
Chelmsford won its own tournament with 204.5 points.
Nobles from Maine finished second with 165 points. Westford Academy finished third with 162.5 points. Foxborough High finished fifth with 138 points.
Nine Flyers finished in the top 6 yesterday.
Senior captain Dylan O’Brien (pictured) finished second in the 170-pound weight class.
Senior heavyweight Trevor Smith finished in fourth place as did junior Anthony Callahan at 220 pounds.
Flyers Micael Cabreja and Danillo DaSilva both finished in fifth place.
Framingham wrestlers Willie Brou, Jake Gaudet, and Jose Bullox all grabbed 6th place.
Next up for Framingham High is a home meet against the Tigers of Newton North.
