BOSTON – The National Weather Service today, January 5 at 4 a.m. issued a wind chill advisory for MetroWest, and Framingham.
The advisory begins at 7 this evening and will last until 10 a.m. Sunday.
Very cold wind chills are expected over the next couple of days, that could break records.
The cold wind will cause frostbite in as a little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
Wind chills could range between 10 and 25 degrees below zero.
Central Massachusetts, including Worcester, is in a wind chill warning.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills.
Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken.
Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
