1 Yesterday, was the first-ever City of Framingham inauguration. Framingham Source has posted a couple of reports from the event at the Memorial Building, and will post additional reports throughout Tuesday. Check back for coverage.


There is a Framingham City Council meeting tonight at 7 in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building. Click here for a preview report.

Mayor Yvonne Spicer is expected to attend the City Council meeting.



2.  Just a reminder, Framingham’s new ban on single-use plastic bags began yesterday, January 1. Town Meeting passed the bylaw in the spring of 2016. Click here for more details.



3. MUSTANGS in action:

  • The Marian High indoor strack team will compete at the Reggis Lewis Center today at 4:30 p.m.


4. FLYERS in action:

  • Framingham High wrestling team, coming off its win at the holiday tournament, will host Wellesley High tonight at 6 in the FHS gym.
  • The Framingham High gymastics team will travel to Weymouth High for a meet against the Wildcats at 6;30 p.m.


5. A wind chill advisory is in effect through 11 a.m. today. Temperatures could drop as low as minus 20 degrees.
