Marjorie Rita Grover, 87

FRAMINGHAM – Marjorie Rita Grover, 87, passed away at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham on Friday, December 29, 2017.

Born in Framingham on February 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harley M. “Dick” and Celia (Conza) Grover.

She was raised in Framingham and graduated from Framingham High School, Class of 1948.

Marjorie started working in her teens in Gorin’s Department Store in Framingham and moved on to her business career as an employee at the National Bank in Framingham.  The bank changed names many times during her tenure, until retiring after 40 plus years with Bank of America.   While at the bank she made many friends, both business and personal which lasted over the years.

She was a very fashionable lady enjoying her many outfits which she always accessorized with her extensive jewelry collection.

An avid Patriots and Tom Brady fan, she rarely missed a game which she eagerly discussed with family and friends.

She  is survived by her sister Irene (Grover) Barney of Framingham ,  her niece Sharlene Barney of Ashland, two great nephews, Gregory, his wife Maria and their son Brian of Ronkonkoma, NY, Luke Barney of Framingham, close friends and relatives.  She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Richard M. Barney and her niece Robyn Marie Barney.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Thursday, January 4 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. in the Holy Family Chapel at St. Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central Street in Framingham followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m.

Burial will take place at St. Stephen Cemetery in Framingham.

Arrangements are entrusted with Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Marjorie’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to St. Patrick Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
