UPDATED: Woman Charged With Shoplifting at ‘Shop With A Cop’ Event Rushed to Hospital

The woman who was arrested Tuesday night at Target, was taken to the hospital by ambulance from Framingham District Court after her arraignment. Reports have her swallowing drugs.

FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham woman was arrested at Target Tuesday night, and charged with shoplifting at a ‘Shop With A Cop’ event.

With more than 50-75 uniformed police officers from Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, and Natick at Target last night, Melissa E. Allen, 32, listed as homeless in Framingham according to police, filled a Rubbermaid bin with more than $1,100 worth of items, and tried to push her cart out of the store without paying.

She was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with larceny of more than $250, resisting arrest, and giving a false name t0 police.
