FRAMINGHAM – About two dozen junior Girl Scouts in Framingham recently earned their Inside Government badge, with the help of Framingham Town Historian Fred Wallace and state Sen. Karen Spilka.
The Framingham History Center held the junior Girl Scout badge workshop on December 7, an early release day for the Framingham Public Schools.
The Scouts heard Spilka and Wallace speak and explored laws that affect their everyday lives.
The badge encourages Scouts to “Decide what Being an Active Citizen Means to You,” learn about local government, explore laws, and get involved in government.
This is the second year the Framingham History Center has been offering Girl Scout program.
