UPDATED: One Shot in Overnight Framingham Home Invasion

FRAMINGHAM – One person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a home invasion at an apartment complex in Framingham.

Framingham Police were called to Sherwood Park Apartment on Phelps Road for a report of a home invasion around 2 a.m., said Lt. Patricia Grigas.

Two men, dressed in black, broke into the home, said Lt. Grigas.

At least one person got into the home and fought with the resident, said Lt. Grigas.

At least one shot was fired from a shotgun, said Lt. Grigas.

The resident was struck with a birdshot in the arm, said Lt. Grigas. The injury is non-life threatening, she said.

The incident “does not appear to be random,” said Lt. Grigas.

Police did conduct a search for the supects after the shooting, but there is no active search at the moment, said Lt. Grigas at 6 a.m.

Suspects are still at large. There have been no arrests.
