FRAMINGHAM – Edward M. Handlin, Jr., 90, a resident of Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick, and a longtime Framingham resident died Monday, December 11, 2017.
Born in Worcester the son of the late Edward M. Sr. & Emma C (Lind) Handlin, he was the beloved husband of the late Jacqueline A. (White) Handlin.
A U.S. Army Veteran, Edward worked for many years in quality control at the Norton Co. in Worcester, and raised his family here in Framingham.
He enjoyed planes and trains and especially reading about them. He and his wife were especially fond of their cats.
He is survived by his children, Carol-Ann Handlin & her wife Marne Mulligan-Handlin of Middleton, NH, Edward M. Handlin, III & his husband David Brumfield of Kingston, NY, Cynthia Crane & her husband Thomas of Bellingham, and Cheryl Sloane & her husband Michael of Barrington, NH, his grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Derrick, Jennifer, and Luke, his great granddaughter Matilda, his sister, Carol Handlin of Worcester, and a dear friend, Paula Jones.
Family and friends will honor and remember his life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. Followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 11 A.M.
Interment will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery.
