5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Friday, December 8

1 Tonight is the 26th Annual Town of Framingham holiday tree lighting ceremony. The event starts with a sing-a-long with the Framingham Girl Scouts at 5:45 p.m. on the steps of the Memorial Building. Santa will arrive on a Framingham Fire Truck with Mrs. Claus and then with the help of some “special guests” will light the tree donated to the town.

Afterwards every one is invited inside for cocoa and cookies and to hear the Framingham Public Schools fifth grade band performance.

2. Tonight is opening night for Walsh Middle School’s production of The Addams Family. Curtain rises at 7. Tickets can be purchased online at www.showtix4U.com or at the door. There are two additional shows on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday’s matinee performance is almost sold out.

3.   Saint Bridget School will hold its Christmas Gala, one of its largest fundraisers of the year, at the Sheraton Hotel tonight from 7 to 11.

 

 

4.  Stapleton Elementary has a family reading night at 5:30 p.m.

 

 

5.   Springdale Beer is hosting Moody’s Delicatessen & Provisions  tonight from 6 to 9 p.m.

 

PLAN AHEAD: Saturday is the 3oth annual Framingham Auxiliary Police Craft fair at Keefe Technical High School. The fair is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
