FRAMINGHAM – Tonight, December 4, five organizations and 22 runners were selected for Team Framingham 2018.
A selection was held in the Memorial Building.
The five charities selected were:
- Hoops and Homework
- Adult ESL
- Framingham High School Foundation
- United Way of Tri-County
- Resiliency for Life
Each of the 22 runners selected can choose one of the five charities to support, explained Mike Bower.
There is no guarantee that a charity chosen tonight will get any runners.
The charities will be making presentations to the runners at our December 13 meeting. The runners can choose their charity after that. If a charity is not selected by any runner, they will not have any runner, said Bower.
There were 75 applicants for the 22 Boston Marathon bibs.
