He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Lee J. (Hannon) Flynn, and his son, Andrew Flynn.
Born in Newton, he was the son of Michael and Elizabeth M. (Deeley) Flynn.
Flynnwas a Korean War veteran, proudly serving in the U. S. Army as an 82nd Airborne Ranger.
He was employed by the City of Newton, MA for 57 years.
Flynn enjoyed traveling to exotic places with his wife. He enjoyed Canal and Boston Harbor fishing as well as family summer vacations on Sagamore Beach. Paul generously donated to causes related to childhood illnesses, American Cancer Society, Veterans agencies and other worthy causes.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Flynn of Los Angeles, his daughter, Patricia Juliani and her husband Andy Juliani of Framingham. Loving Bumpa of Drew and Brad Juliani of Framingham, Joshua and Kevin Flynn of Bourne. And also survived by his sister Mary (Libby) Flynn. He was the brother of the late Thomas and Michael Flynn.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his funeral Mass on Monday, December 4, at 10 a.m. at St. George Church, 74 School Streetin Framingham.
Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30pm.
Visiting hours at Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham, will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
