FRAMINGHAM – Alice “Marie” (Ronco) Ramsdell, 91, a longtime resident of Framingham died Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Bethany Healthcare Center in Framingham.
Born in Dexter, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Gideon & Alice May (Clukey) Ronco.
She was the beloved wife of the late George Newton Ramsdell.
She grew up on her family farm in Maine, and moved to Framingham with her husband and young family more than 60 years ago.
The love of the outdoors stayed with her, as she enjoyed camping with family. As is to be expected as the only sister to three brothers, Marie was a good athlete in her younger years and excelled in basketball and swimming. Her love of music and singing was contagious. Over the years she was active with the V.F.W.
Her survivors include her children, Rose-Marie Murray & her husband Ed of No. Grafton, and Mark P. Ramsdell & his wife Donna of Natick, her granddaughter, Jennifer May Rheaume, her great granddaughter, Brooke Christina Rheaume, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband George, she was predeacesed by her brothers, Warren, Phil and Clate Ronco.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marie’s life by celebrating her Funeral Mass on Thursday morning November 30, in St. Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord Street in Framingham at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
