UPDATED: Framingham High Dance Team Repeats As State Champions

BRAINTREE –  The Framingham High School dance team won the MSSAA State Championship Saturday at Braintree High School.

The Flyers finished in first out of six teams in the hip-hop division, said head coach Angela Rodriguez.

The Flyers were the defending state champions.

“I am beyond proud of this team for working so hard to achieve this goal,” said Rodriguez. “We have had many ups and downs this season, but we always managed to come together and push through even stronger. We are so excited to be two-time, back to back hiphop state champions! We want to thank our administration and our families for supplying us with endless support and encouragement and believing in us.”


Tri-captains are Careena Uppaluri, Erin McQueen, and Delylah Garcia. Other members of the team include Jasmynne Ramos, Sophia Dimidis, Olivia Jaynes, Raema Sheriff, Astrid Kabongo, Izzy Testiler, Dashley Baptiste, Ivy-Jolie Camacho, Jonalys Peña, Victoria Souza, Gabriella Branco, Alex Cahn, João Coelho, Jessie Faulk,Gabriella Bortolotti, Mainza Kasapo, Aylany Duran, Liz McElwain, Louisa Idzal, Beatriz Silva, and Rose Bailey.
