Former Framingham Police Officer Sentenced in Evidence Room Theft

FRAMINGHAM – Former Framingham Police Officer Alan B. Dubeshter pled guilty today, November 7, in Middlesex Superior Court to the charge of larceny over$250.

Alan Dubeshter was sentenced to one year in the House of Correction with 30 days to serve; the balance of which will be a suspended sentence and two years of probation.

On January 26, 2017 Alan Dubeshter was indicted for the theft of seized cash from the Framingham Police Department’s evidence room.

The Framingham Police Department discovered the theft and immediately notified the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.


Alan Dubeshter resigned from his position with the Framingham Police Department in April of 2016.

The Framingham Police Department has performed a complete review of the policies and procedures relative to the maintenance and processing of evidence and has instituted additional measures to ensure accountability and safe guard of all evidence.
