Election Guide For Voters in Framingham District 2 (Precincts 3 and 5)

 

FRAMINGHAM – If you live in District 2 comprised of Precincts 3 and 5, you will vote for mayor, up to two individuals for at-large council, a district councilor, and a School Committee member on Tuesday, November 7.

The polls will be open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Those in Precinct 3 vote at King Elementary. Those in Precinct 5 vote at Walsh Middle School. (FYI: Framingham Public Schools are closed to students on Tuesday. Staff and teachers have a professional development day.)

District 2 includes the old Saxonville Mills, Framingham High, Reardon Park, Lake Cochituate, Saxonville Beach, Walsh Middle. King Elementary,  the new McAuliffe Library and Pinefield Plaza.  The district is part Saxonville and part Nobscot. The empty Nobscot plaza is in this district.

There are two names on the ballot looking to be elected Framingham’s first mayor. They are Yvonne Spicer and John Stefanini. Source asked both candidates a series of questions. You can read their answers by clicking on their names above.

Joshua Horrigan who did not qualify for the November ballot but he is running a write-in campaign for mayor.

For City Council, voters in District 2 will choose between Town Meeting member Jeanne Bullock and former State Rep. Pam Richardson. (Click on their names to read their responses to a series of questions asked by Framingham Source.)

Presently, the Framingham School Committee is comprised of 7 members elected town-wide. The new City of Framingham School Committee will have 9 members, who will all be elected by district.

For School Committee in District 2, voters have one name on the ballot current School Committee member Ricky Finlay.
