Our first mayor is not walking into a readymade role. Transitioning to a city is complex.
It requires a depth and breadth of understanding of the details of the Charter, existing bylaws, and state municipal laws, and the skills to blend them. We must not make the mistake we made at the national level by electing someone without relevant experience. We need someone ready from day one.
John Stefanini has the skills and the knowledge to hit the ground running.
He isn’t “starting to build relationships” with the community, neighborhoods, businesses, police, government staff, local and state politicians. He knows them-by name.
Stefanini isn’t learning about our bylaws, Charter, and state laws. He knows them-chapter and verse.
I’m an attorney who worked with our Charter and bylaws. I know the overwhelming task our first mayor will face. Working in commercial real estate and finance, and knowing John, I know the skills Stefanini has.
We hear about John’s work in the public sector and his countless hours volunteering locally. He’s also an attorney in the private sector. His job is to advocate, negotiate contracts, actually work with multimillion dollar budgets, and to bring all parties together to reach a joint solution. This is what we need in a mayor.
John Stefanini has the skills, the proven track record, the vision and heart and he knows Framingham in all of its facets. He is job ready day one.
We need John Stefanini. He needs your help and vote on November 7.
