Burgess Finishes Fourth at Bay State Conference Cross-Country Championship

NORWOOD – The Framingham High boys cross-country team finished in 9th place overall at the Bay State Conference cross-country championships on Saturday in Norwood.

Wellesley High won the meet. Newton North finished second, with Brookline High third.

Newton North senior Andrew Mah won the individual Bay State Conference title finished the 5K course in 14.46 minutes.

Brookline junior Lucas Aramburu finished in second place in 15.13 minutes. Newton North’s Ian Hornsburgh was third in 15.16 minutes.

Framingham High junior Ben Burgess finished in fourth place overall at 15.22 minutes for the 3.1 mile course. He was the top Flyer.

Sophomore Lucas Marshall was the second fastest Flyer on the course. He cross the finish line at 17.28 minutes for 61st place overall out of 96 runners.

Junior Zach Cohen was third fastest Framingham runners finishing in 17.36 minutes for 68th place.

Framingham Junior Ben Silver finished in 71st place and Nathan Halberstadt, a senior, finished in 76th place.
