Framingham Public Schools, Avidia Bank Holding Musical Instrument Drive

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public Schools in partnership with Avidia Bank announced today, October 26, a new partnership to support the arts.

Avidia Bank will be hosting a musical instrument drive on behalf of Wilson Elementary School.

Instruments in working condition can be dropped off at Avidia Bank’s new Framingham branch located at 270 Cochituate Road in Framingham beginning Friday, October 27.

On Friday, October 27 at noon to celebrate #ArtsMatterDay the Framingham Public Schools and Avidia Bank will hold apress conference at the Framingham branch of Avidia Bank to announce the partnership along with a new student savings account incentive program being offered by Avidia Bank.

A list of requested donations for instruments is below:


FLUTE
 All pieces are included
 Pads are intact and working properly
 All three pieces are of the same instrument and fit properly

 

CLARINET/ALTO SAXOPHONE
 All pieces are included
 Pads are intact and working properly
 Keys are all aligned and not bent or broken
 All pieces are of the same instrument and fit properly

 


TRUMPET/TROMBONE
 All valves can be pressed
 Tuning slides are in good condition
 Bell is in good condition with no cracks

 


PERCUSSION
 Drum head intact with no punctures
 Snares work properly

OTHER INSTRUMENTS
 The above instruments are for the band program but other instruments are also welcome as they can be used in our general music classes.
