LETTER: School Committee Candidate Goldstein Will Be A ‘Fierce Advocate For Our Most Vulnerable Students’

I am writing to endorse Sheryl Goldstein for School Committee in District 3.

I have had the privilege of getting to know Sheryl over the last several years through the McCarthy PTO as well as the monthly PTO Presidents meetings where she has participated as the co-president of SEPAC.

Sheryl is a wealth of information regarding the special education system and is a fierce advocate for our most vulnerable students. Her involvement advocating for special education extends beyond the borders of Framingham. She has worked tirelessly advocating for dyslexia legislation in Massachusetts that ensures early screening and detection for all. Sheryl has also met with our Massachusetts US Senators to advocate on a national level.

On a personal note, Sheryl has been an invaluable resource to our family in navigating an often overwhelming and confusing system. I am certain that we are not the only family who has benefitted from her expertise as she is always willing to listen and help when it comes to those with special needs.

I am certain that she will serve all the students in Framingham well, and her special education experience will make certain that all students and families, but especially those with special education needs, have a strong voice.
